Old Smithfield township.

Most of the words stamped on the button are illegible, but this button may have been produced by Joseph Wilcox of Gawler, South Australia. Joseph and his brother George opened J. & G. Wilcox drapery in Gawler in 1862. Joseph bought George out in 1872 and moved to Rundle Street in Adelaide, where he traded as Joseph Wilcox & Co.
